Projects per year
Currently, I am a Research Associate at the University of Strathclyde in the department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. My current project is to improve the understanding of the graphite reactor core of an Advanced Gas-cooled Reactor (AGR) through analysis of refuelling data (EDF Energy). My research interests include condition monitoring, data analytics and signal and image processing.
I received the M.Eng degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde in 2013. After this, I received my Ph.D degree in 2017 also from the University of Strathclyde working on an Engineering and Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC) CASE award for the University of Strathclyde and BAE Systems in Atmospheric Correction and Target Detection in Aerial Hyperspectral Imagery
All this has led me to have a greater understanding of the design, construction and implementation of many mechatronic systems. I have the ability to analyse complex engineering problems, evaluate and then implement the solutions. I work well individually or as part of a group to complete the given task within the specified time-scale while still producing an excellent standard of work. I also have the ability to apply the knowledge and skills learned through my time at the university when performing these tasks.
