Dr Ghita is Director of the Building Leadership for Change (Khebrat) Programme and lecturer of mathematics at the School of Education, University of Strathclyde in Scotland, UK.
Prior to joining the School of Education, he worked as a researcher and secondary school teacher of mathematics and science at various Scottish/British schools from 1981-2001.
Dr Ghita has taught across a broad range of classes on the Professional Graduate Diploma in Education course at the University of Strathclyde and he was also course leader of the Professional Training Programme for international teachers. He is the Executive Director and one of the founders of the Egyptian British Research and Education Organisation in the UK.
Dr Ghita has a PhD degree and Diploma of Education from the University of Strathclyde and a first degree from the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University. He has over 25 years of proven experience in education and in initial teacher education and CPD courses. He has been heavily involved in designing professional programmes and courses for international teachers, particularly in the Middle East. He also has a wealth of experience in both British and Middle East region education systems.
Dr Ghita has a strong commitment to knowledge exchange, Internationalisation and to research that directly supports the Education particularly in Middle East .

Currently working with Saudi Arabia Ministry of Education to deliver “Building Leadership For Change through Educational Issues, Impact and School Immersion “programme.
The programme was recommended to be an example of excellent strategic development in the faculty of Humanities and Social Science.
Working and collaborating with a team of School of Education at Strathclyde University in designing and delivering a professional development programme for teacher educators at Aljouf University in Saudi Arabia during the 2014-16 academic years.
