Personal profile
Personal Statement
I am a Lecturer in the Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean & Marine Engineering (NAOME). My research focuses on the structural vibrations and their interaction with fluids. The research results were published in leading international journals, including Nature Communications, Science Advances, Physical Review Letters, Journal of Fluid Mechanics, Royal Society Interface, and Physics of Fluids, etc.
I received my PhD degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2009. And then I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in China and the US in the fields of bio-inspired propulsion and renewable energy. I was awarded a Royal Society K.C. Wong Postdoctoral Fellowship under the Newton International Fellowship scheme and worked at the University of Strathclyde as a Royal Society Research Fellow. I joined the University of Strathclyde as a Chancellor's Fellow in 2019 under the Strathclyde Global Talent Programme.
