Building the first theoretical and experimental database for diatom short-term responses to changes in nutrient availability.

Funding to bring a visitor (Dr. Carlos Caceres) to work on an interdisciplinary project on phytoplankton physiological responses. Theoretical work will be carried out at Strathclyde, and experimental work at U.Glasgow (partner for the fellowship).
