Book review: Surviving domestic violence:gender, poverty and agency by Paula Wilcox

    Research output: Other contribution

    Abstract

Library shelves and journals are now plentiful with texts addressing domestic violence. There are criminological and sociological texts, critiquing and analysing the various theoretical models that have been developed to understand and ‘treat’ such violence; policy‐focused approaches, which serve to debate and analyse current policy initiatives; and texts that concentrate on the service provision (or lack thereof) for victim/survivors and on interventions for perpetrators.
