Abstract
The problemof a fluid flow coupled with heat transfer isencountered in many engineeringapplications. In this study, a non-local model is developed towards such problemsby using the peridynamic differential operator. The classical governing equationsarereformulated from theirdifferential formsinto theirintegral forms. Furthermore, the non-local model is alsocast into the non-dimensional form. Finally, the developed model is applied to simulatepure heat conduction, natural convection, and mixedconvectionproblems. The simulation results are compared withthe onesfrom ANSYS and the published literature. The validity of the proposedmodel is demonstrated good agreements. The non-local model developed in this study providesan alternative approach for the numerical simulations of the fluid flow coupled with heat transfer problems.
